This new series I am starting is where I try requested treatments and write an honest review about my experience! Hopefully that will allow you to make a more educated decision about which treatment is best for you!
Since working in the medical aesthetic industry I’ve realized that there are so many treatments that remain taboo! This is where I come in – I’m your “guinea pig” and I couldn’t be more excited to take you all on this journey with me. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by medical providers 24/7 giving me more access to these treatments and giving all of you an inside look.
This week I am taking a deep dive into one of JECT’s most coveted and popular treatments – Aquagold.

Aquagold is an incredibly effective skin treatment that involves the micro-dosing of neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid and vitamins in a personalized cocktail that is administered through a proprietary device containing twenty 24k gold needles – I know, super fancy!
The needles are about 0.13 mm in depth (which is very superficial) and the treatment involves stamping of the skin until the personalized cocktail within the device has been absorbed into the skin.
Most commonly termed the “red carpet” facial, Aquagold is a treatment that reduces pore size due to the neuromodulators used, brightens skin with vitamins and hyaluronic acid, and creates an overall clarity to the skin. It is even used as a treatment for rosacea as the Botox works to shrink the pores and reduce overall redness in the skin.
One common misconception about Aquagold is that this treatment is a replacement for botox and fillers because that is what is being used in the device. However, when used superficially on the skin, neuromodulators can shrink pore size while the hyaluronic acid in filler and ascorbic acid (vitamin c) plumps and hydrates the skin – this creates the ultimate glow.
During the treatment, the provider administers the product via stamping of the skin. On a pain scale of 1-10 I would say it was about a 3-4 (and I have a pretty low pain tolerance).
Immediately after the treatment I noticed redness of the skin and some tightness from the Botox in action! The redness subsides shortly after the treatment which is perfect for any nighttime event you may have that evening.

It has been 2 weeks since my first Aquagold treatment and I have definitely seen an improvement in overall clarity of my skin. My medical provider recommends subsequent treatments once a month for longer lasting effects – and I can definitely say I’ll be back for more!

Personally, I would consider this treatment before a big event such as a wedding or gala because of how radiant and even the skin looks 1-2 weeks after. I mean, I know I’m all about that glow from within, but getting a treatment like Aquagold gives me a bit of a kickstart!
Comment below what treatment you would like to see me do next!
